Eligibility Requirements

When we evaluate new publishers, there are some basic requirements that must be met before we can consider accepting a site.  Acceptance is based on overall quality of content and design, current advertising needs, and other subjective criteria.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

Your Site Must:

  • Represent specialty content. Portals, search engines, and sites of links to other people's content do not fit our definition of specialty content.
  • Provide current, regularly updated content.
  • Be able to direct traffic of at least 25,000 page views or 5,000 uniques per month to Burst. Sites that are incomplete will not be accepted.
  • Be in English. Burst does not allow any of its ads to appear on foreign language sites.
  • Have an active, publicly stated privacy policy. Get more information about creating a privacy policy.
  • Agree to our full eligibility requirements and advertising conditions, which include posting our Demographic Survey on your site.
  • Reside on a top-level domain. No sites hosted on free providers (such as Geocities, Tripod, etc) are eligible.

Your Site May Not:

  • Contain any adult, sexually explicit, or mature content, use explicit language, or link to adult or sexually explicit content.
  • Allow Burst ads on any sites or pages for which you are not directly responsible or any sites that have not been reviewed and approved by Burst.
  • Infringe on any material protected by copyright.
  • Allow timed rotation or auto refresh of Burst banners.
  • Contain user-submitted content that is not moderated.
